GRocery-Anchored Retail Center

City of Eagle Mountain, UT

Strategic Project Implementation

Residents of Eagle Mountain, a fast-growing rural community in Utah County, had to travel outside of the community for even the most basic of necessities–including groceries.

After numerous false starts over many years to bring a grocery store to the city, Eagle Mountain asked Better City for assistance in driving the project forward. Within months of being engaged, Better City recruited a grocery store developer and operator to the community to develop a 50,000 square foot store and pharmacy to anchor the development of a $6M neighborhood grocery-anchored retail center.  This new development also significantly reduced the amount of retail sales tax leaving the community.
